I’ve always been interested in drawing and painting. I had a Reeves watercolour box as a child and would do copies of Christmas cards and the like – some of which I’ve still got.
One of my O-level subjects was art, but then I went on to do Geography at college. Later, as a teacher in a primary school, I was responsible for the children’s art.
After retiring early I did A-level art and then did the BTEC Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Wigan College.
I’ve been a member of our art group for over ten years and I am quite happy working with a variety of media e.g. oils, pastels, watercolour and acrylics. I also enjoy pencil drawing. I’m interested in different subject matter and you can view some of my work in the gallery below.
